FAQ
Pricing, safety, booking and the day you fly. Can't see your question? Drop it in the Notes when you request a quote.
Ask in your request
Requesting is free and commits you to nothing; your advisor answers anything in Notes along with your options.
Request a quoteIs Jetready an app I need to download?
No download and no account. Everything works in your browser, and your request goes straight to a charter advisor, who replies by email.
How soon can I fly?
Often sooner than people expect, but it depends on where suitable aircraft and rested crews are. Your advisor will tell you plainly what is possible for your times.
Do I see a price straight away?
Not a live one. Every trip is priced for its real route, dates and where the aircraft is coming from, so options arrive with an all-in price once an advisor has checked them.
Does it cost anything to request?
Zero. There is no membership, no deposit and no sign-up; you only pay once you choose an option and sign the charter agreement.
Who actually flies the plane?
A certificated direct air carrier: an FAA Part 135 operator in the US or its foreign equivalent abroad. Jetready is a broker and names that operator in your options.
Can my dog come?
Usually yes. Lots of aircraft take dogs and cats when the operator okays it; tell us about your pet in Notes and we only send aircraft that will take it.
What if my plans change?
Changes and cancellations follow the charter agreement you sign, which spells out any fees and deadlines. Ask your advisor before you book if flexibility matters.
Is Jetready connected to Uber?
No. Jetready is a separate air charter broker brand and is not affiliated with Uber Technologies, Inc.
What goes into an all-in price?
Flight time, positioning, crew costs, landing and handling fees, the 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic US flights and segment fees. Things that can only be known on the day, such as de-icing, are flagged up front.
Why does one way cost nearly as much as a round trip?
Because the jet usually has to fly home empty after dropping you off, and that flight is billed. An aircraft already heading your way, or an empty leg, can bring the price down.
What exactly is an empty leg?
A flight an aircraft has to make anyway, often after someone else's one-way trip, sold at a discount. The route and time are fixed and it can be cancelled if the original trip changes.
Can I bring skis or golf clubs?
Yes; just list them in Notes. Bulky gear can rule out the smallest jets, so we size the aircraft around your bags as well as your group.
What ID will passengers need?
Government photo ID for flights within the US and passports, plus any visas, for international trips. Your advisor confirms what applies to your route.
When should I get to the airport?
Private terminals need far less lead time than airlines, though international trips take a little longer for document checks. Your itinerary gives the exact time.
